Instructor Training

Our dojo will be offering in-person and remote (zoom) IT classes in 2026.

Trainees in good standing with ISKF can participate in these classes, with credit for class hours in your blue book.

Eligible trainees will receive an email from our zoomIT at shotokanvirginia.com address.

While the class will be on zoom, your space will be a Dojo during the event. Correct Dojo etiquette is expected.

• Set up and test your Zoom client in advance. Zoom has tools for testing your camera and microphone
• Arrive early, in case of technical problems to be solved when you connect
• Your camera must always be on and you must be in view at all times
• Appear in a clean and presentable Gi
• Be prepared to present – have your system ready so that you can be seen and heard while presenting to the rest of the class
• Advise your family that you are “not home” during this short window to avoid interruptions and distractions
